CJ Stroud reveals NFL WR he wants to work with

Former Ohio State QB CJ Stroud hopes to be named in the 2023 NFL Draft soon, and the 21-year-old may have revealed his preferred destination.

The boardroom posted a TikTok of Stroud discussing the wide receiver he wants to work with in the NFL.

Stroud doesn't want to "stir up the pot," so he first mentioned a retired recipient of his choice, former All-Pro Chad Johnson. As for the current recipient he wants to work with, Stroud doesn't say the superstar's name but makes a remarkable suggestion.

"If you know anything about the person Ochocinco loves, that should give you the answer," says Stroud. "So if you watch Ochocinco, [you know] who is his favorite trail runner in the tournament. That's who I want to throw for."

In 2019, Adams sent his practice film to Johnson, who tweeted an emotional response to what he had seen. Johnson has repeatedly reiterated after his video how much he appreciates Adams, even giving him the title of best WR in the NFL in his eyes.

Despite Las Vegas' difficulties this season (6-11), Adams was brilliant as usual, scoring 1,516 yards and leading the league by 14 touchdowns. He was named a Professional pitcher for the sixth time in his career and a third time winning an All-Pro title for the first team.

The Raiders hold the seventh overall pick in the draft and have a hole to fill in QB, as Derek Carr was launched on Tuesday. Stroud, a two-time Heisman Trophy finalist, likely won't be on their radar.

ESPN's Mel Kiper takes Stroud to Houston with a 2nd pick overall as the first QB off the table in his latest attempt. As a red-shirt sophomore this season, Stroud has thrown 3,688 yards, 41 touchdowns (second most in FBS) and six interceptions, completing 66.3% of his passes. he.

There's also no guarantee that Raid will draft a QB, though they should give it some thought.

Adams and Raiders TE Darren Waller lobbied for Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers to come to Las Vegas. Considering the potential cost of acquiring Rodgers, exchanging for Stroud would be a better use of the asset. Rodgers will turn 40 next season and has a significant cap.

On February 26, players will begin traveling to Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine. Stroud will have another chance to convince the Raiders that he should throw for Adams next season and beyond.

The 2023 NFL Draft, held in Kansas City, begins April 27.
